On February 4th, we broke ground on a new classroom building for the Light Nursery and Primary School in Ishahayi. After 6 months of fundraising, we raised enough money to fund the construction portion of our project! We’re still raising money for the building’s finishes: windows, doors, lights, fans, paint and furniture. But by beginning construction now, we hope that the building will be fully ready for use for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Thanks to our generous donors, we’re off to a great start. In just six short weeks, a tremendous amount of work has taken place. Check out the transformation!
